Inner Child Yoga
WED JUL 15, 5:30 - 6:30 PM PDT (WED JUL 15, 5:30 - 6:30 PM PDT)

I'll be honest this class is a little experimental born from the fear of teaching adults (they scare me) so I thought why not teach them the same way I do kids!?

So be prepared to leave your sensible head and dignity at the door but leave with a bucket full of joy and sometimes a bubble wand!

What to expect:

  • A open level yoga class led by a qualified yoga instructor - beginners encouraged

  • A focus on feeling and enJOYment over excercise.

  • An intro to some of the traditions of yoga in an accessible way.

    • Easy to remember pranyama (breath work)

    • Silly Ohms

    • Sun Salutation

    • Having some fun with asana (poses)

    • A moment of peace and connection to your inner self

Mats will be the only regular yoga prop provided for everybody (unless its really popular and I run out of mats!) so if you know you need a cushion, chair, bolster, block, blanket please bring one!

When: 5.30-6.30pm Wednesdays in July (may extend to August if interest)

Where: Ecole Squamish Elementary field / outdoor classroom!

Pay what you feel - online or in person - I recommend booking to be updated about any changes or cancellations

Please come dressed for the weather and to move around and bring a yoga mat if you can - some mats are available!

Notes about the venue:

This is an open outdoor venue with overhead cover, the ground is hard but will be covered in places with foam mat flooring.

There are no bathrooms available - nature pees at your own risk (in the woods only please)

Accessibility Notice:

The class will be led in English with movements and actions that can be copied through watching. The venue is open and spacious with no steps to enter but is across uneven terrain. Hannah is an experienced facilitator of activities for neurodivergent and disabled children and adults and would be happy to work with you and your family to work towards removing any barriers to access and enjoyment of the class.

Hannah and Take a Leaf Wellness is committed to creating accessible and diverse community activities and actively working to reduce barriers to access. Please contact me with any questions or further suggestions.
